How to Recover Deleted Bookmarks in Chrome and Firefox

Recovering deleted bookmarks in browsers has always been a pain, especially when the bookmarks are really important for work.
Bookmarks are the one-click link to the sites you visit really often.
I personally have more than 100 bookmarks and all of them are equally important.
What to do if they all get deleted just by a single slip of my finger? Well, the solution depends upon the browser.
Here, we will be discussing “How to Recover Deleted Bookmarks in Chrome and Firefox”.
The steps mentioned below should be carefully followed.

How To Recover Deleted Bookmarks in Chrome

Step 1 – First and foremost, leave Google Chrome as it is, if it’s open keep it opened, if it’s closed keep it closed because every time you restart the Google Chrome it updates the Bookmarks.
Step 2 – Head on to this place in directory (without quotes) –
“C:\Users\Name\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default”
Replace the “Name” directory with the name you use for your computer.

In my case it’s Arjun Singh and the directory goes like “C:\Users\Arjun Singh\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default”
Step 3 – You will see two files, Bookmarks and Bookmarks.bak.

Step 4 – Now close all the Google Chrome windows and delete the Bookmarks file and rename the other one i.e. Bookmarks.bak to Bookmarks.
